Operating hours are set for 20 minutes at 12:00 19:30 20:30 20:30 21:00, and additional operations are held at 21:30 during the peak season (July to August). The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain (Korean: 달빛무지개 분수) is the world's longest bridge fountain that set a Guinness World Record with nearly 10,000 LED nozzles that run along both sides that is 1,140m long, shooting out 190 tons of water per minute. Installed in September 2009 on the Banpo Bridge, former mayor of Seoul Oh Se-hoon declared that the bridge will further beautify the city and showcase Seoul's eco-friendliness, as the water is pumped directly from the river itself and continuously recycled. The bridge has 38 water pumps and 380 nozzles on either side, which draw 190 tons of water per minute from the river 20 meters below the deck, and shoots as far as 43 meters horizontally. On the island, there are various cultural facilities including an outdoor music space, bookstore, a large green open area and a two meter moon art installation called Moonlight Nodeul. In accordance with the development plan of 1989, a tennis practice field was built on the Hangang Bridge Iseo. However, the plan to build a large-scale citizen's park was abandoned, and the land remained empty for a long time. The Banpo Bridge (Korean: 반포대교; Hanja: 盤浦大橋) is a major bridge in downtown Seoul over the Han River, South Korea, connecting the Seocho and Yongsan districts. The bridge is on top of Jamsu Bridge, forming the upper half of a double-deck bridge; it is the first double deck bridge built in South Korea.During periods of high rainfall, the Jamsu Bridge is designed to submerge as the water level of the river rises, as the lower deck lies close to the waterline. The bridge was built as a girder bridge and was completed in 1982. The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain (Korean: 달빛무지개 분수) is the world's longest bridge fountain that set a Guinness World Record with nearly 10,000 LED nozzles that run along both sides that is 1,140m long, shooting out 190 tons of water per minute. Installed in September 2009 on the Banpo Bridge, former mayor of Seoul Oh Se-hoon declared that the bridge will further beautify the city and showcase Seoul's eco-friendliness, as the water is pumped directly from the river itself and continuously recycled. The bridge has 38 water pumps and 380 nozzles on either side, which draw 190 tons of water per minute from the river 20 meters below the deck, and shoots as far as 43 meters horizontally. Seoullo 7017 (Korean: 서울로 7017), also known as the Seoul Skygarden or Skypark, is an elevated, linear park in Seoul, built atop a former highway overpass. The path, which is about one kilometer in length and lined with 24,000 plants, is similar to New York City's High Line. Skygarden was designed by MVRDV, a Dutch firm, and opened in May 2017. In the future, the park may become an urban nursery, growing trees and plants for replanting elsewhere in the city. The path also improves walking times around the city's Central Station. The disused overpass closed in 2015 and cuts diagonally across Seoul Station at 17m above street level. Deadly fire: Five dead following collision in Seoul, South Korea | Images of the scene on the outskirts of Seoul in local media showed huge flames and plumes of smoke rising from the tunnel, as hundreds of firefighters battled to bring the blaze under control. The fire started when a bus collided with a truck at around 1:50 pm (0450 GMT) in the expressway tunnel in Gwacheon, an official at the Gwacheon fire department said. The raised tunnel, which is designed to protect surrounding buildings from the noise of the road, was quickly engulfed in flames, images in local media showed. In this video I take you to Mapo bridge, in Seoul, South Korea, also known as "Suicide Bridge". In the past 5 years there's been over 900 attempts at suicide from just this bridge alone. One of the things I heard that shocked me the most while I was there is that South Korea for several years running has the highest suicide rate in the world. This is a little different subject matter for me. I usually help promote projects and missionaries helping the financially and medically needy, but South Korea is a 1st world country so they don't always get a lot of attention when it comes to missions so I wanted this video to be more of an awareness video of some of the things missionaries there deal with that still need attention & prayers.
